Aiming high in swimming lessons is a great mindset to have. It will allow swimmers to learn new skills and reach their potential much faster.

Here are 8 tips to help your child make the most of their swimming lessons and improve their skills:

1️⃣ Set clear goals: Define what they want to achieve in their swimming lessons. Whether it's improving their technique, increasing their endurance, or learning a new stroke, having clear goals will help them stay focused and motivated.

2️⃣ Practice regularly: Consistent practice is key to improving swimming skills. Make sure they try to attend all of their lessons at Swim Max and practice outside of class if possible.

3️⃣ Listen to the instructor: Pay attention to the instructor's feedback and advice. They have the knowledge and experience to help your child improve their swimming technique.

4️⃣Focus on technique: Good technique is essential for efficient and effective swimming. Your child must work on their stroke technique, breathing, body positioning, and kicking to swim faster and with less effort.

5️⃣ Stay positive: Learning to swim or improving your child's skills can be challenging at times. They must stay positive, be patient with themselves, and celebrate their progress no matter how small.

6️⃣ Be challenged: Your child mustn't be afraid to step out of their comfort zone and try new things in the water. Push themself to try harder drills, increase their speed, or swim longer distances.

7️⃣ Be patient: Improving your child's skills takes time and consistent effort. Be patient with them and trust the process.

8️⃣ Stay safe: Make sure your child always follows safety rules and guidelines when swimming. They must respect the water and never swim alone in unsafe conditions.

By aiming high, staying focused, and putting in the effort, your child can make great progress in their swimming lessons.
